And we are back with another matcha goodness!
This is an iced version that is super easy to make at home. It is perfect for a hot afternoon pick-me-up - matcha will give you enough caffeine to reenergize but without the caffeine crash. If you are looking for a cozier cold weather version - I got you: https://www.fluidbykate.com/post/best-hot-matcha-latte.
Ingredients:
1 tsp organic matcha powder (adjust the amount to your liking - depending on how prominent you would like the green tea flavor to be)
Ice
A splash of hot water
Oat milk
(Optional) 2 shots of espresso
(Optional) 1/2 tsp honey (I use Manuka honey for more health benefits)
Prep time:
Less than 5 min
Step 1:
Sift a desired amount of matcha powder into a small bowl and add a splash of hot water. Whisk until it appears fully mixed and foamy.
Step 2 (Optional):
If you would like a touch of sweetness, add half a teaspoon of honey to your matcha mixture and whisk until honey fully dissolves in hot water.
Step 3:
Fill your glass with ice and add your matcha and honey mix.
Step 4 (Optional):
If you need an extra caffeine boost, add a shot or two of espresso.
Step 5:
Add your milk and take a moment to admire how beautifully it blends with the rest of your drink.
